Just a few pics from a recent assignment. VMD is a St. Louis sculpture studio that specializes in busts and large scale restoration of everything metal. Well, everything metal made by an artist. These are actually some of the out takes that are being used for a promotional mailer. The actual assignment was to collect a series of textures and pictorials to use as background images for the VMD website. I must say being around an arc welder makes that extra manly part of you come out. I was ready to start finding scraps and build a "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome" car. With my past experiences with welding, I would probably end up with what looked like the melted LP bowl you brought home to your mother after eighth grade shop class. I should just stick to clicking a button and twisting some dials.
